Introduction¶
G/L Translations by Codadot is an extension that allows you to translate your general ledger accounts into multiple languages, offering you the ability to support bilingual accounting departments. Ideal for companies that have financial departments with employees speaking different languages, or for shareholders or auditors that prefer or need to communicate in a different language. G/L Translations allows you to view any accounting pages in Business Central fully in the language you desire, as well as any reports by simply changing your own language in your user settings, or, by simply toggling the view on the page.
Use cases¶
Example 1: Bilingual companies¶
You live in a country where two languages are spoken, for example Belgium or Canada. You'd like users in the finance department to view the accounts throughout the system in their own language, and for them to view reports printed in their native tongue.
Example 2: Foreign shareholders or auditors¶
Your shareholders or auditors prefer to speak or read English, but your employees rather work in their native language, for example German. You can easily allow the shareholders or auditors access to your records without answering questions about every general ledger account's meaning. On top of that, you can print financial reports in any language simply by specifying a different language code.
