Getting started¶
In this article, you'll learn how to get started with Codadot VAT Margin Scheme.
Requirements¶
To install Codadot VAT Margin Scheme, you'll need to have the following:

Either a Business Central online Production environment or Sandbox environment

Permissions to install extensions in Business Central

Install the app using the built-in AppSource gallery page, or, click this link. Don't worry, you'll be prompted to select an environment and confirm before the app gets installed.
Legacy - Buying licenses via AppSource
If you want to buy licenses via AppSource instead of Codadot/partners, you also need the following: - An active billing profile in your Microsoft account - Role to make AppSource purchases in your Microsoft tenant
Licensing¶
You can try out VAT Margin Scheme for free in any environment for 30 days. After your trial has ended you are required to have an active license for user accounts interacting with or using VAT Margin Scheme.
Please contact us if you'd like to receive more information about licensing options (per-user-per-company, per-company or per-environment). You can also obtain licenses via AppSource, however, these include an additional charge.
After installing the app¶
- First, enable the extension. To do this, use the Search Everywhere function and type in
VAT Margin Scheme Setup - Codadot
. - Toggle the switch next to
Enable Module
. - Go to License and activate the trial by clicking the action in the ribbon.
- Either start the Assisted Setup, or, follow the advanced setup guide
- Assign permissions to users
Assigning permissions¶
VAT Margin Scheme has two built-in permission sets.

Use anything related to margin VAT |
Assign a permission set either directly to a user, or, extend an existing permission set you've already created by including it.
